I got this doll at the thrift store, because she was wearing a beautiful AG sweater and she was only $1.99. Her body has obviously been replaced with a cheap plastic one, the color is not the same, and her head is at an odd angle. I would like to find what kind of body she is supposed to have. Her only mark is a nested WW on her neck. Her hair is rooted and she has sleeper eyes. Thanks ahead of time!

She is from 1980s. Tag in her shoe says made in west Germany. Soft body not articulated. Brown eyes, blonde hair. Approx 18”. Apron has Götz embroidered on it with little flower in the pocket. Maroon dress with small blue flowers. No markings other than HHE’s stamp.
Just Updated
She has red braided hair with a flower and brown sleepy decal eyes.
50cm (19.5") tall weichstehpuppe, not articulated.
Possibly 'shares a starshine face mold'. Neck mark 'Gotz puppe'.
Box says Product #9748204 as does her tag. Looking for more info: name, age etc.
Is it possible she was custom made?

Hi can anyone suggest how I can deal with the frizzy ends of my Gotz doll hair. I have done some research and suggestions are fabric conditioner but I don’t want to go ahead and ruin the doll. Thank you in advance
Hello everyone I was recently given this doll from my recently passed grandmother. Can anyone I'd her or possibly tell me a name or year?thank you she mean alot to me! Her neckstamp reads 96-14 and she is 13 inches tall.
This beautiful doll was given to me brand new in either 1965 or 1966. I had her my whole life until our house burned down in California's CZU lightning complex fire last August, 2020. We lost everything and I am heartbroken to have lost her. I now have to record everything we lost for the insurance company, so I need to identify her for this, but also because I'd like to look for her again. I think she is either a Gotz or a Furga. I should start by saying "she" might have actually been a "he" when manufactured, but to me she was a girl baby. The doll was in a quilted blue snowsuit when I received "her" in Germany, trimmed in white with a tie string that had white pom-poms. Her short hair is unchanged (and rooted), she had a soft torso, sleepy (pinwheel blue) eyes, and a closed mouth. She could not sit up by herself. She had the most pleasant expression on her face -- a sort of smile and her face was more rounded than elongated. She did not have a vacant expression. Unfortunately this is the best photo that I have. I will follow through with any suggestions. Many thanks! Maren
Community, I apologize for the delay in indexing and updating important articles. I have been working on some important administrative tasks; reorganizing categories, and adding some key components to the wiki!
One of the goals of Gotz Doll Wiki from the start was to identify and index the different Gotz Doll facial molds/neckstamp markings used over time, along with (if possible), which Doll Artist designed them. Gotz Doll Wiki is both excited and proud to announce that we have begun to do so in our article DIfferent Gotz Doll Facial Molds and Necksamps. Also, each doll with an identified, verifiable neckstamp will be placed within its own specific category, so you can easily find other dolls you love that share the same facial mold! Thank you for visiting and we hope you enjoy learning more about Gotz Dolls here!
